Why did you want to lose weight? What encouraged you to take action and start changing your lifestyle?
I have struggled with being overweight most of my adult life. As I entered my 50’s I began seeing my blood pressure increase as well as an overall decrease in energy and mobility.
What was your weight goal?
I wanted to lose 70 lbs. I started at 250 lbs and hit 50 lbs in January.
Did you have any struggles or setbacks that kept you dissatisfied with your results? How did you feel back then?
When winter hit and the temps and weather got bad, it became a challenge to maintain my exercise routine. I have currently maintained my weight for the past 2 months and have recently re-started my outdoor walking routine.
What results have you achieved?
In addition to losing 50 lbs, my BP has decreased significantly, my joints no longer hurt, and I have tons more energy.
Which method of intermittent fasting worked the best for you?
I prefer 18/6 but have recently stepped back to 14/10.
How long did it take to see a difference?
I saw a difference in the first week!
When did the DoFasting app come into your horizons?
I had read a lot about IF and researched a lot of apps that could help me. DoFasting provided all the resources I needed in the most cost-effective way.
Did you feel any significant health improvements? Increased energy levels or anything similar?
Yes, my energy level increases to where I was looking forward to taking long walks multiple times a day. As a result, my BP dropped and my overall emotional state improved.
What would you like to tell others who are starting their journey?
IF is a great way to lose weight and feel better and the DoFasting app really helps track your progress. The initial adjustment to your hunger windows can be a challenge so plan ahead with meals and drink tons of water.

There is a lot of great info on the app. Additionally, I recommend reading many of the great books on IF such as Fast. Feast. Repeat. I learned that eliminating the things we think won’t impact your “clean” fast, such as gum and diet drinks really does make a huge difference.
Your further goals?!
I still want to lose 20 more lbs and hoping to hit that goal by summer.
